The National Democratic Congress, NDC, has given a one week ultimatum to its members contesting as independent candidates after losing their primaries to rescind their decision or face sanctions.
Addressing newsmen in Accra, the General Secretary of the party, Johnson Asiedu Nketia said failure to comply will result in the suspension of their membership with the party.
He gave the fourteenth of this month as the deadline.
Mr. Nketia also cautioned such candidates to desist from using party paraphernalia, logo, flags and identity in their activities.
