Following comments by Mr. Yaw Boateng Gyan that the outcome of the election petition would not favour the petitioners but would only pave way for electoral reforms, he has been warned by Mr. David Asante to nip such comments in the bud to promote peace.
For Yaw Boateng Gyan to be on radio and claim that the petition would only bring about electoral reforms but would not affect the results, shows he has taken the lead ahead of the Supreme Court judges".
"He has given a ruling and if his supporters expect nothing but a win for the NDC - this can spark violence, Mr. Asante, who is a spokesperson for the Let My Vote Count Alliance added.
He believes party leaders like Mr. Gyan should rather focus on telling their supporters about the need to accept the Supreme Court final verdict no matter who emerges as winner.
Mr. Asante said the comments by the NDCs National Youth Organizer is contemptuous and has a potency to fuel a degree of apprehension in the country if not dealt with now.
According to the LMVCA spokesman, Mr. Yaw Boateng Gyan must learn to speak in a manner that would curtail the public from unnecessary agitations. He advised him to remain silent if there was nothing for him to say than to speak and end up being pathetic.
