All is set for the Brong-Ahafo Regional Delegates Congress of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), schedule for Saturday January 25.
In all, about 520 delegates, 16 each from the 29 constituencies in the region are expected to attend the one day congress to be held at the Pastoral Center in Sunyani.
When the Ghana News Agency visited the center on Wednesday, preparation work at the about 1000 capacity conference hall was steadily progressing.
Mr Gabriel Kwame Awuah, Chairman of the NPP, Brong-Ahafo Regional Vetting Committee told the GNA that ballot papers would arrive in Sunyani from the party�s national headquarters in Accra on Saturday morning.
He said the party had requested for a contingent of 10 police and six military officers to maintain and promote law and order.
Mr Awuah, who is the Regional Chairman of the Council of Elders of the party said delegates were expected to arrive on Friday night, adding that, voting would begin at exactly 0900 hours.
He said the party would handover any person or group of persons who might cause confusion to the police and advised party supporters and delegates to conduct themselves well.
Mr Awuah said the committee had officially written to the officials of the Electoral Commission and assured the contestants of free, fair and transparent elections.
