President John Dramani Mahama would on Friday embark on a three-day official visit to the Ashanti Region, Mr Ben Dotsei Malor, Head of Communications and Presidential Spokesman has announced.
He said during his stay in the Region, President Mahama would visit the revived GIHOC Shoe factory in Kumasi, water project in Asante Mampong and work on the Tepa District Hospital.
Mr Malor, who was briefing the media at the revived media briefings at the Flagstaff House, Kanda, said the President would also visit Akate Poultry Farms and inspect road, water and health projects in the region.
The Head of Communications said President Mahama would also visit and inspect road projects at Ejura-Sekyeadumasi district and inspect works on the runway project of the Kumasi Airport.
"President Mahama will also hold discussions with Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and the Ashanti Region House of Chiefs and interact with students of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology," Mr Malor added.
President Mahama would return to Accra on Sunday, May 4.
