National Youth leader of the Progressive Peoples Party (PPP,) Divine Nkrumah, will this morning embark on a one-man demonstration from Amasaman to Accra central.
In an interview with Today, Mr. Nkrumah explained that his demonstration is against the recent happenings in the country.
According to him, polytechnic teachers are on strike; there is fuel shortage in the country; moneys owed the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFUND) have not been paid; government subventions given to public universities have been removed; academic user fees have been increased in all public universities among others.
He stressed that these problems have taken a toll on well-meaning Ghanaians and therefore someone ought stand up and send a clear message to government that times are hard.
The PPP Youth leader indicated that the afore-mentioned problems are an indication of the fact there is no clear leadership in the country.
If you are out there like me and you feel things are not going the way you expect, join me in this walk to register our displeasure to the government, he said.
