"If government is about building roads, hospitals, markets and airports, then any dummy could be president" in Ghana.
This is according to New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Akyem Swedru, Kennedy Osei Nyarko.
He indicated that the penchant of government to enumerate non-existent projects just to score cheap political point is an exercise in mediocrity.
The NPP MP was speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Wednesday.
The obviously frustrated MP said Ghanaians deserve better than “this incompetent Mahama-led administration”.
He could not fathom why in spite of the many resources available to government, President Mahama is still struggle to accelerate Ghana’s development after six years.
“Touting themselves as a social democratic government with the slogan: People Matter, You Matter yet everything is in the mess” he stressed.
Kennedy Osei Nyarko said he is not surprised the Mahama government is facing difficulty because “the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) came through the window and everything is falling apart.
The NPP MP indicated that what Ghana needs is a visionary leader like Nana Akufo-Addo to transform the economic structure of the country.
“Governance is serious business; it is not about propaganda and the NDC has been exposed big time”.
Kennedy Osei Nyarko is convinced winning the 2016 general elections will be a herculean task for the NDC given their shambolic performance in government.
