The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has promised to examine thoroughly President John Dramani Mahama's speech after the delivery of perhaps his last State of the Nation Address.
Speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show 'Ghana Montie', the Director of Communication of the NPP Nana Akomea believes – “there is nothing new for the president to say.”
According to him, the Mahama-led government is yet to fulfill majority of its promises made in 2015.
He noted that – the NPP will listen attentively to his address and "grill" him afterwards.
President John Mahama is expected to deliver his State of Nation address today, Thursday, February 25, as required by the constitution.
The presentation, which comes ahead of the November 7 polls is expected to focus on measures and efforts being put in place to ensure a peaceful and credible elections.
The president is also likely to update the nation on Ghana's economy since his administration entered into a three-year financial bailout agreement with the International Monetary fund.
He will also lay emphasis on successes chalked by his government.
