The nationwide limited registration exercise began smoothly in the Ho Municipal Area Thursday morning.
All 17 registration centres in the Municipality were set up ahead of the 0700 hours staring time but with little activities.
Mr Wisdom Allai, an officer at the Municipal Electoral Office, told the Ghana News Agency that; “We are on course. All the centres are working. We are two hours into the period and happy everything is smooth.”
Only one person, a student, had registered at the Market Square at Ho-Ahoe, a fairly highly populated area, at about 0830 hours.
Five other centres visited by the GNA had not registered anybody between 0700 hours and 0930 hours in the Ho Township.
All the centres visited had only agents of the National Democratic Congress and the New Patriotic Party as observers.
