The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has invited President Mahama to its manifesto launch on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at the International Trade Fair Centre, Accra.
Director of Elections of the NPP, Martin Agyei Mensah Korsah who extended the invitation to the President said it will be in the interest of the NDC and President Mahama to witness their manifesto launch because they will place emphasis on job creation.
“The NDC manifesto launch we know is just a talk without any implementation and so I want to throw a challenge to the President to come to our launch and witness what will happen so that they can learn because they are just deceiving us.
“Mahama and his men should come to the Trade Fair on Sunday and listen to our manifesto launch and learn from us because we have Ghanaians at heart” he stated.
The NPP now launch its manifesto at the Trade Fair Center in Accra on October 9.
The initial venue was the Tamale Sports Stadium, where the NPP held its national delegates congress, and the Party had said the choice of Tamale was to maximize the party’s electoral fortunes in the Northern Region on December 7.
It also said the NPP Presidential nominee, Nana Akufo-Addo’s successful campaign tour of the Northern Region necessitated the choice of Tamale.
However at the last minute, a World Cup qualifying match was fixed at the same venue on the same day by the Sports Ministry, necessitating a change in date and venue for the launch.
The NPP have indicated that the manifesto will place emphasis on job creation and creating an enabling business environment for economic growth.
So far, only the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) have released their manifestos ahead of the polls in December.
Mr. Agyei Mensah Korsah stressed that the launch of the manifesto contains the solutions Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the party propose to help fix the myriad of problems facing the country.
He maintained that it is not the business of President John Dramani Mahama to remind Ghanaians of his achievements if there is any, as they would be visible for the people to see and decide; thus, it is only the panic of losing the 2016 election which will make the President tour the entire country to remind Ghanaians of his achievements.

Mahama will try to steal the manisfesto book at the launch
Do you think about Ghana first or NDC or NPP? If you sincerely say Ghana, why not look beyond NDC and NPP? If indeed it is Ghana first, I am sure you would like to look beyond the two parties for the following reasons:- 1. A 3rd Political Force will bring a more healthy parliamentary debate as each tries to outdo the other. Multi-party democracy then becomes meaningful. 2. A more competitive presidential and parliamentary election will make the winner sit up for fear of losing the next election which will take a longer time for them to be considered again. 3. "Sitting up" means reducing corruption, arrogance, political violence and abusive language and generally treating the Ghanaian with respect. 4. Ghanaians will benefit tremendously because politicians will then become humble, more understanding and tolerant. The concerns of the electorate will be taken seriously.
Adom, we all know that Black Star's world cup qualifiers are rotational. The FA made this clear and so do not create the impression that the sports ministry fixed the match day venue to dislocate the NPP manifesto launch. Lies!!
