After the unprecedented shift of the date of the NPP manifesto launch with so many changes including allegations of stealing, many Ghanaians are really highly expectant of the outdooring of the opposition party's policy document.
But the question is, why has the party chosen former President Kuffour as the lead campaigner of their manifesto launch and not the Flag bearer of the NPP Nana Akuffo Addo?
For the NDC, President Mahama did lead the party during their manifesto launch at Cape Coast. The development within the NPP has made Ghanaians wonder whether President Kufour is the presidential candidate of the NPP or a gray eminence controlling the party from his Airport Residence.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has confirmed it will launch its manifesto on October 9, 2016 at Trade Fair in the Greater Accra Region.
To some, this is being hurriedly done to produce an agenda for their campaign after the Vice President Kwesi Amissah -Arthur slated them for not having a manifesto, ahead of the National 2016 election at the Asawase where he launched Hon Mohammed Muntaka's Campaign Task Force.
The initial venue was the Tamale Sports Stadium, where the NPP held its national delegates congress, and the Party had said the choice of Tamale was to maximize the party’s electoral fortunes in the Northern Region on December 7.
It also said the NPP Presidential nominee, Nana Akufo-Addo’s successful campaign tour of the Northern Region necessitated the choice of Tamale.
However at the last minute, a World Cup qualifying match was fixed at the same venue on the same day by the Sports Ministry, necessitating a change in date and venue for the launch.
Before Asawase, the Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur had called on the rank and file of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) not to give credence to the Presidential candidate of the NPP, Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo since has no track record.
He made the statement at the campaign launch of NDC’s Parliamentary candidate Mr. Cris Boadi in the Ahafo Ano South East Constituency of the Ashanti region on Saturday.
He said the NDC took over from the NPP because of the latter's bad performance during former President Kufour’s reign. Adding that even with President Kuffour's track record which Nana Addo is riding on, he has even dispensed with the services of perceived Kufour loyalists.
These two separate statements made by the Vice President at Asuadei in the Ahafo Ano South East Constituency of the Ashanti region on Saturday and Asawase on Sunday, according sources in the NPP, is seen as a mockery of the opposition party's desire to regain power.
The Vice president in Asawase, derided the NPP which for being unprepared for this year's polls, but is rather peddling falsehoods.
For this reason, he has called on party supporters to police the polls and be vigilant on Election Day to win them a second term of office. “We must police the polls, we must make sure we are vigilant and that everything is done according to the rules
Vice President Kwesi Amissah -Arthur admonished party supporters to continue in their ‘focus, the determination, the perseverance and the singleness of purpose with which we have pursued the campaign. He also called on party supporters to be wary of the NPP because of their attitude of puling surprises.
He called on the NDC party supporters to ignore the accusations of the NPP and urged them to rather channel their energies into a resounding victory for President John Mahama for continuity in the December 2016 elections.

***barred word*** jonathan lagos, NPP. is a party with substance, they respect their elders so always want the elders to lead them ,unlike ndc of vaga*onds who has nobody to lead them even the founder has rejected them hence he didn't endorse your John mahama because he doesn't trust him and doesn't believe in him hence he refused to attend ndc manifesto launch in Sunyani, how can President Rawlings be part of a trash manifesto with no hope? He can't ridicule himself so refused to go. NPP manifesto is of HOPE to Ghanaians and of standard so the former president and leader found prudent and honour to be part of it and NPP as a decent party can't leave our beloved father to the gallery so has to take the lead and is that a problem to the leader less ndc then you have a real kpokpogbligbli problem which need serious evaluation. You are sick really ,ndc you are sick. Whether you like it or not you will GO! you can use all your 30 rigging plans yet still you will GO! nothing will save you, even your juju and voodoo are against you because of your cheat. Oto a ontua ka!
@JONATHAN Lagos: which of them is ur business? mind ur own business whether the call on maame water to launch their manifesto is none of ur business.
FUNNY O LIFE EH!!!!! THE SOUL IS WILLING BUT THE BODY IS WEAK. A WHOLE FLAG BEARER BEING RELEGATED TO THE BACKGROUND FOR A FALLEN SPARROW TO LEAD A MANIFESTO LAUNCH. THE TWO MOST PROMINENT PEOPLE IN THE PARTY WILL PLAY SECOND FIDDLE TO AN ALREADY DEFEATED FOE???? AND PERHAPS KUFFUOR WILL HAVE TO TOUT HIS SO CALLED GOOD WORKS. (HIPC TOILETS) TO APPEASE THE FEW REMAINING FAITHFULS. AS FOR THE TWO, THEY ARE HOPELESS.
