President John Mahama has described Sunday’s manifesto launch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as an 'insultfest'; festival of insults.
Reports that emerged after the NPP manifesto launch indicated that most of the speakers attacked President John Mahama and how he had 'run the economy of the country into a ditch'.
In response to the several issues that was raised against his administration, President Mahama tweeted:
"Michelle Obama quote appropriate for Ghana too after the NPP insultfest of Sunday. "When they go low, we go high".

I WILL LEAVE GHANA IF MAHAMA WINS POWER AGAIN TO TOGO
No matter how the situation is,u must mine ur utterances and must be circumspect whenever u are talking.....if the prez were to be a lonnnng relative of urs u will appreciate it paaaa.
John Odwanfunu Mahama, nobody in fact insulted you or any of your cronies. When it comes to insult, you are championing it if you dont know. How can you say nobody can critise you if the person hasnt been a president before! Ghanaians are watching if you dont know!
You cannot go on fooling this nation with last minute cutting of sods. And Mr. President nobody insulted your person. What do anybody gain from insulting you. We only will appreciate if ORLG, and the rest GYEEDA will account for the tax payers money. That monies do not belong to the NDC or any individual. It belongs to Ghanaians. We are no longer interested in Cheap tribalistic politics in this unified country with one destiny. We want leaders that will roll their sleeves and genuinely work for this nation of ours and not to play unnecessary myopic politics with the leadership.
What is more insulting when you were carried you opponent's coffin. Shame
The manifesto is every where one-district - one factory, 1 million dollars to every constituency , one village one dam is every where this is what Ghana need not one student one tablet waa look lack of Ideas you cant even buy chalk. Mahama si fom NAna B3ba
When the NDC lunched its manifesto the whole country came to a standstill but the NPP lunched theirs and nobody care to know about it. The media seems not to be interested in discussing the "plagiarised kalypo manifesto" because there's nothing in it.
SEE THIS f.u.u.lllllll. we are now going to insult u proper proper. incompetent evil taaaaani after destroying ghana u want us to clap for u. nun...sense. Goat
It shame, after you and your babbies with sharp teeth have rained insults on this innocent but competent man, you sit there and describe his manifesto reading as insult fest. Indeed you have short memory. Right there in your view, you stood and watched as Akuffo Addo's coffin paraded the sunyani grounds. A.b.o.a-funu. Who insulted you on that day? Shut-f.u.c.k up and start packing yours bags. You are in no position to teach Akuffo Addo Patriotic Lessons. Mo.ro.n of a President.
Time will tell...I believe the good people of Ghana will retain you again as president of Ghana to continue your good work for mother Ghana. And those who have made it their business to insult and abuse you will be beside themselves with anger and resentment. Of course that will be for their pocket inside
