The Chief of Staff Mr Julius Debrah has advised adults in the country to refrain from sweet drinks stressing that such drinks are not good for the health of people who are advanced in age.
He gave the advice whilst speaking at a durbar of chiefs and people of Subinso Number Two in the Wenchi District of the Brong Ahafo region as part of his six-day campaign tour of the region.
The chief of staff's advice comes at a time when the apparent band wagon effect of a Face Book picture of Flag bearer of the NPP Nana Akuffo Addo sipping Kalyppo is waning.
He urged the people to be mindful of their health and desist from practices which will not make them healthy.
‘I am pleading with you that you the adults here if you take Kalyppo, the sugar content can leave you with some sickness so please don’t take it,’ he said in Twi to the supporters who shouted ‘Noooo.’
Attempts by some NDC functionaries to mock the NPP leader triggered what has become known in Ghana as #Kalyselfie. NPP executives and supporters, in their bid to solidarise with Mr Akufo-Addo, circulated their pictures on social media, especially Facebook sipping the juice.
Mr Julius Debrah and his team also addressed the chiefs and people of Buoku and Chiraa and appealed to them to extend the mandate of President Mahama in the December 7th election.
He told the supporters to go out in their numbers on December 7 to cast their votes for President John Mahama.
According to Mr Debrah, the President is one such individual who remains true to his words and would fulfill every promise made to Ghanaians.

Free advice from Julius Debrah. You can decide to take or leave it, its your health and i dont think it warrant all the insults
so when would the npp really reason as human beings?simple health advice is met with insults and insinuations, what would be the benefits to a 73yr old man drinking juice full of sugar which are meant for kids? ask kennedy agyeapong if he would drink kalypo since he's suffering from diabetes
Fanta and coke is good for adults but fruit juice for kids is not good for adults. What logic. NDC cannot think far indeed.President Mills banned turkey tails because it is not good for our health but he failed to curb the import of alcoholic beverages during his tenure. Turkey tails is sold in America stores. Everything in moderation is the key. Anyone who criticizes Nana, should first get to his age before telling him how to live.
