President John Dramani Mahama has re-nominated five personalities to serve as District Chief Executives in various assemblies.
They are: Joseph Betino, Suaman District Assembly; Kingsley Asoa-Apimah, Juaboso District Assembly; Kwame Twumasi Ankrah, Bia East District Assembly; Peter Yaw Kwakye Ackah, Amenfi Central District Assembly; and Cuthbert Baba Akuupiel for Nandom District Assembly.
A release signed by Alhaji Collins Dauda, the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, and copied to the Ghana News Agency, said the nomination was done in accordance with Article 243(1) of the 1992 Constitution and section 20 (1) of the Local Government Act, Act 462.
The statement requested all Regional Ministers to facilitate the confirmation process of the stated individuals.
