Deputy General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) Koku Anyidoho, has warned party bigwigs who are sponsoring the placement of adverts of President John Mahama and the party in pro opposition newspapers to desist from the act immediately.
According to him, these people who are influential risk incurring the wrath of the party if they continue with their act which he describes as “frustrating and annoying” to say the least.
Several adverts in the Daily Guide, a newspaper owned by Mr. Freddie Blay acting Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, promoting the re-election bid of President John Mahama in the forthcoming general elections have not been taken lightly by sections of the party, leading to unabated queries over his loyalty to the cause of the party.
Supporters of the largest opposition party are agitated over this development wondering why a newspaper which has sympathies to the party ceaselessly publishes achievements of the government the NPP is working very hard to oust during the crucial December 7 elections.
But Koku Anyidoho is equally not happy with the practice and wants it stopped immediately.
Speaking on Accra based Neat FM, the former Presidential Spokesperson, stated that he finds everything wrong with giving the ruling party’s adverts to pro opposition party, newspapers as such newspapers rake in huge monies from the adverts at while the pro government papers rather struggle with their finances.
“Even if they were national adverts we wouldn’t have issues with it, but these are political adverts. We see this happening in the Daily Guide Newspaper and it is very frustrating.
Those people who are managing the placement of these adverts in Daily Guide…and I want to place it on record that it is not being done at the National Headquarters. Those people who are managing it…I just don’t want to mention names, they know themselves, they should put an end to it. It is very annoying they should stop it.”
He added: “They should give the adverts to the pro NDC papers, place the adverts on Radio Gold, Montie as well…put the jingles there, otherwise the next time I come on air on this matter I’ll mention the names, it is annoying. I’m just issuing a last order, they must stop it otherwise the party will come at them, it is annoying…enough is enough.”

Massa the matter is simple...the NDC papers DO NOT SELL PERIOD. So somebody thought it wise to try the NPP news papers to get the message across but two this are preventing he spread of the so called good works of JDM. One, the adverts get to the wrong audience because no serious NDC member will ever buy the Daily Guide to read because of obvious reasons. Two, even if the message tries to get down, the same NDC so called communicators will focus their attention on the Nana Addo and Mawumia. Koku unknowingly is the one leading this bad press for the NDC. How can you dedicate almost all your airtime to attack the opposition when you have your party to "sell"? Now it is too late for the NDC because the hardship is too much on the people. They should not be deceived by developmental projects because when people are hungry, they don't care about developments.
Anything NDC does not sell unless it gets an NPP assistance. Koku Aynidoho should get this obvious truth into his coconut. Haven't you seen how Kalypo keeps making higher sales as a result of Nana Addo and NPP endorsing the product? I quite remember during the 1992 elections when Rawlings told Ghanaians not to buy Apino Soap but rather Key soap just because the owner of the Apino soap factory was an NPP financier. Despite the popularity of Rawlings at that time, the sales of Apino soap ballooned while that of Key soap started to decrease to the extent that the managers of Uniliver started complaining so they had to bring in the Key Soap Concert party programme to help save the situation. Anything the NDC touches goes bad. If you think this is not true let Mahama endorse some product and we will see how that product's sale will decrease. This is an obvious truth that some Ghanaians are refusing to admit.
For me ; the outburst from Koku is right and wrong; the man should have had a quiet word with the NDC propaganda operatives including this two faced chameleon Omane Boama ; the truth is that Omane Boama is not a true NDC member ; people in the NDC think he is promoting the cause of the NDC but this is not true ; Omane Boama has always played the double agent in the NDC party and pretends he routing for the NDC ;why is these so called development projects not been promoted effectively because Omana Boama is doing the WRONG THINGS !!!!!!!! if you want to know the two sides of Omane Boama watch him when he speaks and starts laughing at the same time ; Omane Boama is out to sabotage Jon Mahama- BIG TIME ; the man is making serious money and intends to leave politics and build his own clinic when he leaves politics after NDC is kicked out; THE WRITING IS ON THE BOARD PEOPLE IN THE NDC HAVE SEEN THE LIGHT AND ARE JUMPING SHIP INCONITO AND THIS INCLUDES OMANE BOAMA !!!!!!!!THE CHAMELEON DOCTOR .
Koku, are you surprised? In fact, I'm surprised you're surprised! Simple. Pro-NDC newspapers don't sell! So, in order to get your message across to the good people of Ghana, you are forced to use the pro-NPP media. Even Kalypo sells! Saagewaa!
you see why i always say Ghanaians shouldnt take koku anyidoho seriously??? cant you see this man is just soo confused a mmumtumm BANZZZA? His uterances are disgracing his own party NDC and is paving the way beautifully for their defeAT. YOU DONT WASH YOUR SOO CALLED DIRTY LININGS IN PUBLIC. DOES HE THINK BY COMING TO THE MEDIA TO SAY ALL THESE THNS THEN IT MEANS NDC MEMBERS WILL PRAISE HIM OR WHAT? I BET TO DIFFER BUT SUCH ACTIONS OF HIS AND THE RELEASE OF THE MONTIE TRIO ARE ALL EVIDENCE OF BAD DECISIONS WHICH HAS GREATER IMPACT ON THE VOTER TO VOTE THEM OUT. IF YOUR MOTHER WAS TO BE THE CHIEF JUSTICE AND SUCH UNPRINTABLE WORDS WERE SAID TO HER BY THE MONTIE TRIO, WILL YOU PARDON THEM AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN JAILED??? PLEASE , PLEASE PREZ MAHAMA ADVICE KOKU ANYIDOHO FOR HE IS PREPARING FERTILE GROUNDS FOR YOUR DEFEAT TRUST ME. THAT GUYS COMMENTS OF WHICH HE THINKS HE IS THE HEROE IS SMELLY. IF ANYTHING WHY CANT YOU SETTLE IT INDOORS BUT TO BRING IT TO THE MEDIA. WHO THE HELLLL ARE YOU?
Jesus did not go to sit with the church people. Instead he wined and dined with sinners to make them see the light and win them to their side. The Daily Guide adverts have been very strategic in bringing doubt among the NPP and whose loyalty is whose. The fact that the NDC do not even know who is doing it is even better. Somebody somewhere has put their thinking cap on.
Hahahahaha look at this ***barred word***, who asked them to place the adverts in the Pro NPP newspaper's, that person is a smart person than you. You still think you're powerful now you can see that you're nothing just a nonentity.
AH, I t of thought u pple said JM adverts in Daily Guide and the like is a vote of no confidence in Nana Addo?. Now you know NPP pple are smart and know business. They will charge u higg feed for your adverts but the adverts gets to the wrong audience , hence it is of Zero Effect! NDC buff00ns...when will u pple be smart? That's why Ghana suffereth
I perfectly agree with Koku on this issue. Why should the little food meant for the children be thrown out. Omane Boama should stop this game. When the pro NDC papers were fighting in the trenches where was Daily Guide?
