A member of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP’s) Communications team in the Ashanti region, Opoku Boahen has cautioned the president-elect Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to b wary of the caliber of persons he appoints as ministers.
He observed that the downfall of the Mahama-led administration was partly because of the kind of appointments he made in terms of ministers and other appointments to enviable positions who in the end disappointed him hugely leading to his electoral defeat.
Opoku Boahen wants the NPP leader to draw serious lessons from this and not appoint persons who will let him and Ghanaians who reposed much confidence in his ability to save them down.
According to him, wrong appointment of ministers can crumble the administration of the president-elect and therefore underscored the need for him to go about such appointments with caution.
“The outgoing president lost the 2016 elections because of some ministers he appointed. Since the said NPP is a continuing government he should tread cautiously in his appointments. In subsequent elections whenever Nana Addo appoints any elder as a minister a youthful person should be appointment as a deputy”

I support u bro well said.n I know Nana addo will be great
I think opoku said it all but i could clearly say almost the minister who were MP's lost their seats so ministers to be appointed shoundt be MP's and they should check the person very well before giving such position cos 4years will soon come and all that will be analyzed before voting again for Nana toaso or twaso but i trust the president elect will deliver to the best
I personally support the appointment of young men and women as ministers. The most important thing is to check their background.Iam talking of youngsters who were properly brought up by6 their parents to respect elders. We had young ministers in the NDC like Mahama Ayariga, Haruna Iddrisu, etc who never insulted elders who disagreed with them, the same connot be said of Fiifi Kwetey,Koku Anyodoho,Omane Boamah,Sam George,Kofi Adams,Solomon Nkansah,Samuel Ablakwa. These were the boys who brought Mahama down,Any young man who insults elderly people should know he is doomed, if you can insult some ones father its obvious you have been insulting your own father too, that is if they have any.
Limit the use of too much luxury cars because that makes those appointees feel rather superior to the tax payer. In fact we want to see the Nangafuri (Tanzanian president's) style of leadership here.God bless you Nana.
