A member of the Progressive People’s Party communication team, Felix Mantey, has stated that the downcast demeanor cast by President Mahama on stage as he addressed the nation shows how “powerless” he has become.
According to Felix Mantey, the dejected reflection President Mahama expressed after loosing the 2016 elections, should be a lesson to all politicians seeking the mandate of voters to rule.
“If you look at his demeanor and even his outfit on the podium, you would realize that man has taken power from him”, he said on ATV’s Asem Yi Di Ka show which airs between 3pm to 5pm every week day.
President John Dramani Mahama today delivered his final State of the Nation Address.
This is in accordance with Article 67 of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana which states; “The President shall, at the beginning of each session of Parliament and before dissolution of Parliament, deliver a message on the state of the nation”.
President Mahama used the opportunity to tout his achievements during his tenure before he makes way for the incoming President, Nana Akufo-Addo, on January 7, 2017.
