Throw Away Hon. Owusu Aduomi Nomination If It Comes To You-NPP Youth To President

We members of the Patriotic Youths of the NPP have received with utter shock and amazement reports making rounds that the Member of Parliament for Ejisu Constituency, Hon. Owusu Aduomi, is being considered for the position of the deputy minister for Roads.

The group would like to emphatically state its objection to the decision if indeed its true and appeal to the President, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo, to take a second look at the nomination.

Our appeal stems from a number of factors which we believe could negatively affect the smooth running of the ministry and the vision of the NPP should Hon. Aduomi be considered for the post.

We believe that the MP through his actions and inactions have demonstrated covertly and overtly that he does not share in the ideology of the NPP and the President, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo.

Hon. Aduomi is on record on several occasions to have spoken contradicted stements made by President Akufo Addo during the electioneering campaign.

As a result of his strong affiliation to the other side of the NPP factionalism, Hon. Aduomi refused to take active part in the activities of the party.

We are therefore surprised that today the same Hon. Aduomi is lobbying for the position of the deputy minister for Roads in an administration under a man he vehemently opposed during the party's internal elections.

The Patriotic Youths of the NPP therefore appealed to the President to immediately revoke the nomination of Hon. Aduomi if indeed he is being considered and nominate another person who shares in the vision and ideology of the President.
