All 10 Regional Chairmen of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Thursday issued a communique, backing the candidature of John Dramani Mahama for election 2020.
Even though the former President has not yet declared his intention to run for the presidency again, the regional chairmen urged him to "consider the request of teeming supporters of the NDC and Ghanaians to lead the party to the 2020 General Elections."
In a brief statement, they also urged John Mahama to embark on a “Thank you” tour of the country to thank party loyalists for their support during the December 2016 polls.

Jon Mahama's political life have always being planned on bribery ;corruption and murder ; the man is quietly using his stolen money to buy his way and buy the nomination for the Presidency ; Jon Mahama did same with Atta Mills ; he does not not believe in democratic competition; his motto is 'if anything buy your way into power and steel' ; Jon Mahama has no respect for the elders of the NDC party and as for their so called founder JJ Rawlings Jon Mahama has no respect for him because he knows the evil deeds of JJ Rawlings and Nana Konadu of steeling ; Jon Mahama is planning a take over of the NDC by using this Ade Coker and these idiotic fulls to pave way for his nomination ; as for the others in the nomination they should forget it ; they do not have the cash to compete with Jon Mahama ; where is Spio going to get the cash unless Duncan -Williams steels from his church to fiancé him BIG TIME !!!!!
If I was spio I will keep my money, it will be a wasteful venture or all the other aspirants should support one person alban badgin
Just wondering what their election campaing message is going to be this time around with Mr Incompetent himself as their leader. Thank God am not part of this confused gang.
Most of the Chairman making this idea will LOSE their Chairmanship position during their National Delegate Conference.
JUST WAIT AND SEE HOW THESE TEN CHAIRMEN LOSE THEIR POSITION IN THE UPCOMING NDC CONGRESS. THEY WILL BE VOTED OUT COMPLETELY
The 10 Regional Chairmen are on the path of dividing the party the more. In effect they are indirectly telling the other aspiring candidates not to step a foot in their regions to campaign. In any case who said they would still be at post if elections are held for the position of Regional Chairmen.
The Spio has been spewed out of the mouth of the NDC chairmen. After all his self-conceited attitude. Well Spio, your NDC chairmen think you are so full of yourself. Clearly they don't even have a relationship with you. As for the foot-soldiers........, FORGEEEEEET!!!
Who cares Twiaaaaaaaaaaah
The coming back of this greedy and incompetent John Ford Mahama is a very good news for the NPP..... If he is elected as NDC candidate he will only get 30% of the votes.
oh NDC you still prefer the movie star to lead the party
