The Ministry of Information has announced to all registered artisanal and small-scale mining that there will be a vetting of their licenses on Monday, September 3, 2018.
In view of this, all registered artisanal and small-scale miners whose licenses were operational as at April 1, 2017 are to submit their documentation to the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Illegal Mining (IMCIM) Secretariat by post or in person.
The submission of the copies is to be done before Friday, September 7, 2018.
A statement signed by Information Minister-designate Kojo Oppong Nkrumah and copied to Peacefmonline.com indicated the artisanal and small-scale miners are requested to submit copies of their Mining License, Environmental Permit, Operating Permit, Certificate of Registration, Tax Identification Number, two copies of passport size photos, Birth Certificate, Passport or Voter's ID and provide their current contact details to the Secretariat.
