NPP’s 1st Vice Chairman of the Asokwa constituency in the Ashanti Region; Edmund Kyei has described former President John Dramani Mahama as a “confused” and “dishonest” person.
According to him, the former president and his party will remain in opposition forever if they don’t desist from telling lies to the people about the Nana Addo-led government.
"Mahama’s incompetence has no bounds and will keep him in opposition forever," he told Peacefmonline.com
Reacting to Mahama’s comment on the Free SHS policy by the incumbent, "As a sitting President, you couldn't resolve basic technical and financial troubles faced the country; today you're all over the place giving solutions to problems that doesn't exist".
“Ghanaians experienced years of unstable power supply and hardship, dollarization of the cedi occurred during your tenure, trainee nurses allowance were left unpaid. Well done NDC. Mahama couldn't even start the Free SHS he promised Ghanaians, how can he run it better after someone else has began it?" he quizzed.
To him, Mr Mahama was very “shambolic” with Ghana’s education system which has been revived by the NPP government.
“The former President in 2016, promised to make boarding free in August and he couldn't live up to his words before he got kicked out of office by the NPP. Now the NPP with men like Dr. Akoto Osei, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, Dr. Bawumia are shaping the economic and educational challenges.”
"Today this same man says after 8years of exhibiting nothing but thievery, corruption and incompetence, he is coming back to fool some Ghanaians that he will review the Free SHS that he couldn't do? No way, Ghanaians don't have short memory,” he said.
Edmund Kyei also called on Ghanaians to show Mahama a 'red card' should he ever contest the 2020 elections.
