Former Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Allotey Jacobs says the upcoming bye-election in the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency is a significant determinant on the outlook of the 2020 general elections between the ruling New Patriotic Party and the NDC.
According to him, the outcome of the bye-election will serve as a major motivation to either parties depending on who wins the election, whether the NPP candidate, Lydia Seyram Alhassan or the NDC's Delali Kwasi Brempong.
Throwing his weight behind the NDC's candidate to occupy the constituency seat, Allotey Jacobs advised the party's hierarchy to work harder and not be slack in winning the heart of the youth in Tertiary institutions within the constituency.
He noted that the NDC normally encounters challenges convincing the youth in Tertiary institutions to cast their votes for the party and so urged the NDC to do its homework well before the bye-election on Thursday, January 31, 2019.
Analyzing the possible outcomes of the election, he held the view that "should the NDC wins the elections, it will motivate the party for the 2020 elections. There will be a clear indication that the NDC is on course to win the 2020 elections. If the margin is very close and the NPP wins, it means that with little effort by the NDC; they can win the 2020", he told host Kwami Sefa Kayi on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo'.

SO NDC defeat means double defeat in 2020
What about a LOST?
How many promises were made to Ghanaians and what percentage of that is the 41 fulfilled promises. That would have been a more measured and truthful information. I have seen street lights, roads, water systems all of a sudden working again within my constituency (Ayawaso). So what exactly am i being told if it must take the death my MP (may his gentle and kind soul rest in peace);and the quest for political power of his baby mama for the tax payer to see proceeds of his/her taxes. Hhhhmmmmm. Ayawaso voters, we will be the best judges if this is what we deserve. I rest my pen and thank you for lending me your eyes, ears and time to see, hear and read my humble thoughts. Thanks again.
