The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has wondered why Nningo Prampram MP, Sam Nartey George, is still alive if he claims “several rounds of ammunition were fired” at him by the members of pro-government vigilante group Invincible Forces.
Addressing a press conference on Thursday, the Communication Director of the NPP, Mr Yaw Buaben Asamoa, who is also the MP for Adentan, said: “My colleague in parliament, the Hon Sam George – and I would love to read out what he has put on his Facebook wall – I’m sure all of you have seen it; ‘I have just been assaulted by several members of the NPP Invincible Forces attired in National Security Council shirts and vests’”.
“How he knew they were Invincible Forces when they were wearing a dress which is not Invincible Forces, only he knows, as brilliant as he is”, Mr Adamoa wondered.
He continued: “Now listen, we are talking about guns here: ‘They fired several rounds’. We all watch movies, don’t we? And you see what happens when somebody receives several rounds … ‘They fired several rounds of ammunition at me’, he quoted Sam George.
“What was the distance? Were the guns pointed directly at him? Was he facing them? As we speak, Sam George is alive enough to have written on his Facebook Wall after having been shot several [times]. Has he been to the hospital? We haven’t seen any blood on his body, and yet he’s told the whole world that several rounds [were fired at him]. And this is coming from a legislator of this country. If this is not orchestrated, what else would have been orchestrated?”
Mr Sam George has, however, been captured on video receiving slaps and blows from some macho men he had a confrontation with as he monitored the by-election.
The NDC pulled out of the election over some shooting incidents at La-Bawaleshie.

NDC cannot deceive Ghanaians with their noise anymore. As their aspiring presidential candidate,John Mahama has said, when it comes to violence, they are pioneers. Is it not the NDC that first introduced vigilante groups in Ghana? Today, they are crying. Sam George should have received more slaps after charging aggressively towards a security officer. Next time!
Yaa Serwah of course this us the change we asked for and we are enjoying it! how did you think the change would look like? bare in mind you didn't vote for change but the majority who voted for the change are happy ndc are being beaten and we need more if that to make Ghana peaceful, you are too noisy with nothing good to offer! you are cowards too, you portrayed yourselves to be tough guys but when the perceived invisible forces accosted you according to Sam George you run away to your Headquarters to attack those idi*ots who imported the azorka boys to come and destruct the election and they met their meter, Ghana is not for the ndc. If you idi*ots are ready to die for the ndc some Ghanaians are also ready to die for their nation! Next time send azorka boys and your Hawks and Snakes and they will all be killed !Ghana must survive without ndc ! we have about 3 or 4 opposition parties none is causing trouble than the ndc, Ghana need peace to move on ! next time the security must do more, we are fed up with ndc intimidation and violence ! and they talking of a table turning to who? and who are going to waste their time to line up and vote for bobolebobo? are you people fine? ndc is not coming back today or tomorrow !
Why why o why didn't a bullet hit Sam George in his big mouth.
Oh Mr Buaben Asamoah so you want somebody to die before you know gunshots were heard. Ei what kind of analogy is this .Please tell us something better. Ghana is watching.
These NDC guys are the biggest liars in the world. They did worse things in power and now they are seeking
Be there.............when the tables turn, do ask the same questions wai......... Today you have power....just small by election...you have "security men" in mask? The police admin now claimed they do not know the men!!!! Time will tell!!!
Is this the change that Nana Addo and his greedy NPP government promised Ghanaians? Yes, Akuffo Addo said Ghanaians should try him and see. 'Man', you have been tried and tested and found wanting.
