A member of the Communication team of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alhaji Mohammed Nasiru is wondering why President Akufo-Addo and his Vice, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia are silent over the increasing attacks on police officers on duty.
This was after reports claim five police officers have been killed in the line of duty in the past month; the recent shooting occurring in Kasoa.
According to Alhaji Nasiru, President Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia as the Commander in Chief of the armed forces and the Chairman of the Police Council respectively, there is the need for them to say something reassuring to the Police Service and Ghanaians as a whole.
Listen to him in the video below as he contributed to a panel discussion on Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo', Thursday.

Npp faithfuls are so stupiddd. What is the essence of having a president or vice, if they can't speak on serious issues like killing of policemen and women, which is gradually becoming a crisis. Per the logic of some npp supporters that the interior minister has spoken so there is no need for the president to speak, why then does the president and his vice keep talking about free SHS when the minister of education has been talking about it. If they want the president to keep quiet for only his ministers to talk then, they should tell him to stop speaking entirely because he has appointed oppong nkrumah and co to speak for him. All over the worse whenever there is a shooting incident, the local police give a press briefing and then the president follows up with his own press conference. All that nana addo and barwumia know is talking fuuuulish politics but the most important things they need to address they don't. He is so quick to go abroad and talk about pds saga, ppd saga in an attempt to claim there is no corruption but 5 policemen are shot dead in one months and they don't want to talk. What kind of ediots are running the state.
So when the Minister for Interior and the IGP talk, that is not enough. You must necessarily hear from the president and vice, Why? Is what the minister saying not the official position of government? Why must you hear from the president himself?
Because, Ofosu Ampofo led NDC is the mastermind behind these killings..
