CPP Is Best Alternative To NPP, NDC – Ivor Greenstreet

Convention People’s Party (CPP) 2016 Presidential candidate, Ivor Kwabena Greenstreet says the party remains the best alternative to the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

According to him, the administrations of the two political parties have only served their parochial interest rather than the interest of citizens.

Speaking to Citi News at the Upper East Regional conference of the party in Bolgatanga, Mr. Greenstreet assured that, a vote for a CPP government in 2020 will liberate Ghanaians from the under-performing NPP and NDC.

“We are working hard on how to prosecute the agenda of the CPP in providing hope and opportunity to the Ghanaian people and an agenda of providing serious alternative to the NPP and NDC in the 2020 general elections.”

Mr. Greenstreet contends that both parties may have implemented policies and programmes for the good of citizens but they have paid lip-service to interventions that will provide opportunities and relief for all Ghanaians.

“We (CPP) support the introduction of the Free SHS by the NPP because it provides an opportunity for all Ghanaians but we believe in a Free basic education right to the tertiary level and we believe, we will be far better implementers of this policy.”

“We will expand the NHIS to cover all ailments and introduce free annual medical checkup under the scheme for Ghanaians. There are many policies that, the CPP is going to put together including making sure that, there are jobs for all Ghanaians which will differentiate the CPP from the NPP and NDC who have over the years served their own interest and not that of the people”.

He admonished the regional executives to work with the rank and file of the party for victory in the 2020 general election.
