NDC’s Communication Officer in the Northern Region, Abdul Mumen has described as a “scam” – dams the Nana Addo-led government claims to have constructed as part of its One Village, One Dam (1V1D) project.
He told NEAT FM’s morning show host Mac Jerry Osei Agyeman that the construction site is now appropriate to host Ghana’s top league.
“The Nana Addo dams site is now a perfect football pitch to host Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts Of Oak any day,” he said.
His sarcastic comment comes after the NDC communication team led by the National Communications Officer, Mr Sammy Gyamfi, visited Zakpalsi dam project in the Mion Municipality which was constructed by the former President John Mahama and compared with the new dams being constructed by the current government.
The NDC described the 1V1D project by the government as a "meaningless and wasteful" venture.
Mr. Gyamfi said the government had failed to deliver on its promise of providing every village with a dam.
