Deputy General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Obiri Boahen has said the modus operandi of the Ghana Police Service has been incomparable in recent times.
He lauded their efforts in calming ‘fear and panic’ in a heated political season as the country prepares for its December 7, polls.
Speaking in an interview with Neat FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’, after his invitation to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service, Nana Obiri Boahen said he was treated “like any ordinary person” despite his position as the deputy Chief Scribe of the ruling party.
According to him, his invite shows how “proactive” the police have been without any meddling from the government.
“I don’t want to mention names but years back, the police cannot invite a Secretary of a ruling party,” he said.
