More reactions are still trickling in following the announcement of Prof Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang as John Mahama's running mate.
While the NDC is hailing the candidature of the University of Cape Coast’s first female Vice-Chancellor, the NPP thinks she brings nothing new to the table.
A statement signed by Yaw Buaben Asamoa, Communications Director of the NPP said "Prof Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang hardly meets the expectations of someone who has a track record of fighting for women and their welfare".
Adding his voice to the debate, Nana Damoah, Head of Communication at the Ministry of Energy said even though he doesn't understand the former President's choice, 'we welcome her'.
"I don't understand why Mahama opted for Prof Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang . . . I feel pity for her but it's a competition so we welcome her," he said on Peace FM's The Platform programme.
