"It’s difficult to come to terms with the death of Sir John” said Charles Owusu, the Personal Assistant to the late CEO of the Forestry Commission.
Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, popularly known as Sir John died on July 1, 2020, after testing positive for Covid-19.
According to reports, he succumbed to complications of the disease while undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Unit of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
Charles Owusu who was Sir John's personal Assistant told Kwami Sefa Kayi in an interview on Peace FM morning show 'Kokrokoo' said: "It’s like a dream; I never expected that Sir John will die and we will be marking his one week".
"It's not easy; it's very painful . . . He (Sir John) was my everything," he lamented.
