The incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for the Subin constituency in the Ashanti region, Mr Eugene Boakye Antwi, has retained his seat with ease at Monday's General elections.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) MP won with a difference of close to 30,000 votes after polling 40,903 votes as against his main challenger, Abubakar Mohammed Murtala of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) who managed only 15,511 votes.
Even though he won, the presidential candidate for his party, Nana Akufo-Addo performed better.
The president had 43,051 in the presidential race as against ex-President John Mahama who polled 14,608.
In the other presidential results, GUM had 124, CPP 32, GFP 16, GCPP 4, APC 3, LGP 6, PNC 8, PPP 10, NDP 7 and the independent candidate had 6.
