President Akufo Addo will name his first list of ministerial appointments before close of this week, reliable sources at the Presidency have confirmed to Peacefmonline.com.

Snippets of information picked up indicate that Cabinet ministerial positions will be out before Parliament sits on Friday.

According to sources, former Deputy Chief of Staff, Abu Jinapor will be heading to the Lands and Natural Resource Ministry, while Asenso Boakye goes to the Works and Housing Ministry. They will be assigned deputy ministerial roles.

Education Minister, Matthew Opoku Prempeh is being moved from that ministry to the Energy Ministry and is likely to be replaced by his deputy Dr. Yaw Adutwum

Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey will be maintained at the Foreign Affairs ministry.

Attorney General goes to Godfred Dame.

Peter Amewu is replacing Joe Ghartey at the Railways ministry.

Presidency

Meanwhile, at the presidency, Madam Frema Opare Osei will continue to be the Chief of Staff. Earlier reports had indicated that she was going to be assisted by Micheal Ofori Atta, Presidential adviser on ECOWAS and Kwabena Adjei Agyepong.

But credible information stumbled upon a few hours ago, point to the contrary.

Insider sources say the two Deputy Chiefs of Staff are likely to be Emmanuel Adumuah-Bossman, aka Carlos Von Brazzi, a renowned Consultant on Political-Economical & Security matters and a one-time Director of Research and Operations at the Friends of Nana Akufo-Addo Institute (FONAI), and one Ali Fawaz

Nana Asante Bediatuo will however, maintain his position as the Secretary to the President.

Size of government

According to Peacefmonline sources at the Presidency, President Akufo-Addo is determined to reduce his size of government with all ministries having just one deputy.

Ministries like Procurement will be dissolved and placed under other ministries.
