Founder and Leader of Prophetic Hill Chapel, Prophet Nigel Gaisie says the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has not treated Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah well with his arrest and remand after his contribution to the victories of the party in both the 2016 and 2020 elections.
According to him, he felt sad when he learned about the arrest of the Leader and Founder of Glorious Word and Power Ministry International despite his impact on the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Speaking on Okay FM’s 'Ade Akye Abia' Morning Show, Prophet Nigel Gaisie noted that the stature of Rev Owusu Bempah in the country should be enough reason to be granted self-recognised bail as his crime is not a first-degree felony to deny him bail from police custody while the law of the land takes its full course.
He added that it was wrong for Ghana Police to arrest Rev. Owusu Bempah during church service, thus, they could have waited for him to finish his church service before arresting him.
Touching on the lessons learned from the arrest of Rev. Owusu Bempah, Prophet Gaisie said, “you don’t die for a politician regardless the political party, because if we look at the impact of Rev. Owusu Bempah in the 2016 election and 2020 elections and with all these, we are in this country and people have done worst things than what Rev. Owusu Bempah has done or said and the law doesn’t go after them”.
“ . . . the NPP has betrayed Rev. Owusu Bempah and I don’t see this happening. Where the man of God is being kept is not good,” he sadly noted.
He was of the view that after the arrest of Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah even though he is not above the law, the party in power could have moved to bail him from the police custody; thus, it is an act of betrayal on the part of the NPP to see the man of God has helped the party in diverse ways to be remanded.
“ . . . for me, I am telling my young pastors that this should be a wake-up call for all pastors to be one; for all pastors and prophets especially to know that whatever you do for any politician, they would love themselves than pastors. It is not worth dying for any politician,” he advised.

Osofo why?
Nsem huunu ara kwa ara kwa. All these say they're being used by GOD. Persons with such warped and twisted mindset about being let go when you flout the law because you have links with the party in government. No wonder you folks dodge taxes, do fake car license plates, sleep around and still think you're GOD'S reps.
So he sympathizes with the party, so he should be allowed to flout the laws of the nation? People like you foment trouble where there is no need for one. If this your way of gaining popularity, then you have failed.
***barred word*** ***barred word*** gyimigyimii nigel Gaisie
Not just Owusu Bempah... Akuffo Addo has disappointed most of us who voted for him. Assuming Owusu Bempah has committed a crime, is that how he should be arrested. Police in plain clothes will go to his church and arrest him in the middle of Sunday service. When you could have waited until Monday go to his house and arrest him. How many churches/ mosques will allow plain clothed men to arrest their pastor or Imam during service. With all due respect, Can the police do that Duncan Williams or Mensah Otabil? And you remand a person in prison custody for a whole week for this? When Koku Anyidoho was granted bail after a treasonable offense? The modus operandi of the Ghana police and the whole judicial conduct in this case is very questionable. I hope Owusu Bempah learns his lessons after this. Ghana is a lawless country with a lawyer as president.
Listening to this Pastor makes me wonder if he really understands the bible. And also for him to say the glory of a Pastor is his church! wow! that is telling. I now understand when the bible says, "but I prophesized in your... and the Lord said I don't know you"
GHANAIANS SHOULD WISE UP! WHEN DID WE GET POLITICAL PASTORS/PROPHETS IN THE COUNTRY AS THIS MAN WANTS TO ALLUDE?
Is very clear there are so many ***barred word*** people in Ghana. Which kind of logic is this? Because he helped NPP to win power he should be allowed to break the laws of the country? All these people are seen a leaders in society with massive followers. No wonder Ghana is the way it is.
