As the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) gears up for its primaries, on a yet-to-be specified date, to elect new executives ahead of the 2024 general elections; some members of the party have already disclosed their interests in certain positions.
With the flagbearer position, there are ongoing campaigns for some personalities with specific mention of names of the Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Trade Minister Alan Kyerematen coming up strong among other contenders.
Some known and unknown names have also dropped for positions like the National Chairman, National Youth Organizer and so forth.
In view of who becomes what in the party hierarchy, former Member of Parliament for Upper Denkyira West constituency of the NPP, Benjamin Kofi Ayeh has for the first time revealed his political ambition after vacating his Parliamentary seat.
Speaking to Kwami Sefa Kayi on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo', Benjamin Ayeh intimated he will contest the Central Regional Chairman position when the party opens nominations.
"My immediate plan now is to go for Central Regional Chairmanship," he said.
