The General Secretary of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Nana Yaa Jantuah, has disclosed how painful it is to be incorruptible.
The former Director of Communication for the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC) said she was left with “nothing” when she quit her job.
Speaking in an interview with Magoo on Women On The Frontline, Jantuah recounted how she became homeless after serving her country in that capacity.
“As someone who was a Director of PURC’s Communication Department, I did not have a car when I quit. I was taking trotro,” she revealed.

Well said @AB and I support your submission 100%. However, have you also considered the outrageous ex-gratia paid to politicians after every four years in office? Some of them even do nothing in four years but they are gifted some form of gratuity called ex-gratia. The most annoying part of it is that they engage in all manner of shady deals and corruption while they are in office and they are expected to be given a ‘golden parachute’ when leaving office. All our problems are due to politicians and I hope one day, we will have the opportunity to overhaul the constitution and make it difficult for politicians to steal from the state.
Amazing so you did expect to be rich for working 2 or 4 years at PURC? So many people have worked here in the UK for over 15 to 20 years and all they have is their mortgaged houses which they pay monthly. To suggest that you worked for 4 or 5 years and hence you should be rich is ridiculous. This expectation is what is destroying our beautiful country
