Mr General Secretary, you have a lot of work to do. You have taken over the general secretary position at a time when the gap between the party and government keeps widening. Under Kufuor we saw government and party moving together, Kufuor and his appointees never forgot for once that it's the sacrifices of the ordinary NPP foot soldier that made it possible for them to occupy their various positions so occasionally they looked back to check on the appointees. Anytime kufour had the opportunity of visiting the regions he took some time off his busy schedule even if it's midnight to meet with party executives to listen to their concerns and address them. The appointees will only tell the president what will please him, partly executives on the other hand will tell the president the exact situation on the ground. Currently Akuffo Addo will visit a region for 2 days and will not have time for party executives, i can't remember the last time he met with party executives in the region i hail from. So one will not be far from the truth if you say Akuffo Addo care less about a future NPP after his exit. Believe me NPP members are not happy with him at all, if he knew the level of anger among party supporters he won't be talking of 'breaking the 8'. You just can't tell what goes into his thinking. In some regions you can't point to 1 hardworking NPP member the party has uplifted, not one. Indeed some are worse off today than before and yet you hear some appointees chanting break the 8. It's therefore not surprising to hear people like Kwabena Agyapong, a former general secretary of the npp asking whether the Akuffo Addo appointees are NPP members. Under Kufuor we saw how his appointees kept checking on party members irrespective of their economic or social standing, today the appointees themselves are into a competition of who can grab more so no time for any party member. Meanwhile these are the same people you are relying on to break the 8. If you are an NPP appointee, be honest, just ask yourself, if elections were held today can the NPP win? Nobody's heart will deceive you, their hearts will give them the correct answer. NDC may not need to do any vigorous campaign in 2024, Akuffo Addo is already campaigning for John Mahama, infact he's the lead person in John Mahama's campaign team. All the efforts kufour and his appointees made to make the NPP attractive are being dismantled, oh. NPP paaaa nie. If your father bequeathed to you a house, if you can't add add more rooms or renovate it, at least leave it as it is, don't pull it down. I pity my party NPP under the current leadership. No, no.
