A Political Science Lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and a member of the ruling New Patriotic (NPP), Dr Richard Amoako Baah is worried about the extent of damage the Akufo-Addo government has caused the country.
According to him, Ghana’s economy which is facing humiliation should be enough for the Nana Addo-led government but rather the country's good morals are also under serious threat.
“This Nana Addo-led government is not only wasting our money and destroying our economy, he is destroying our morality in addition. Our morals are destroyed so everyone can do whatever they want,” he said on NEAT FM’s afternoon political show.
“Watch TV and see the nonsense going on . . . is this what he meant by the battle is the Lords? . . . go to our Secondary Schools and they are twerking indiscriminately, they are involved in all sort of nonsense and no one is saying anything . . ." he angrily said.
"The President has a girlfriend, don't you know Serwaa Broni? . . . he has a respectable wife and that is what we should see," he angrily told the host, Adakabre Frimpong Manso, adding that this has resulted in the loss of dignity and good morals since he cannot advice his appointees to live a chaste life.
"He is not setting a good example for the youth," he said.

the truth always hurts. Welcome prof those hypocrite and sycophants are blinded by the ***barred word*** loyalty for that party. we are all sufferings together hahahahahahah
Disappointed with Amoako Baah's analysis. I don't know what was going on in the mind of this political scientist. How can the President be responsible for what my child does in a democratic country like Ghana? Even, in communist country like China, the president cannot be held responsible. His analysis does not make sense at all. It is a disgrace to academia as we pride ourselves with intellectual prowess. If academics go on like this, there will come a time, no one will respect anymore. Don't be blinded by politics and do the right thing next time.
He is professor no nothing, in fact he is walking encyclopedia with ***barred word*** knowledge. Children delinquency largely due to parental laxity. Should we bring the moral downturn to the doorsteps of the president. The vice chancellor of KNUST should check the cognitive function of this lecturer. Ghetto boys sounds more normal than him.
He has been mentally fit since the days of John Mahama, just that the tables have turned and its biting u hard. Danduruwa
I think the KNUST should reconsider if this guy is mentally fit or qualified to be a lecturer at the university.
Is this guy really a member of the NPP? I don't believe so because he has easily fallen into the trap set by the NDC to undermine the president. We have to be careful about what we say when we have the privilege of using the platform. I don't believe the morality of our president is in question at all. The Ghanaian economy is in crisis, but not through any deliberate effort or mismanagement. I believe it is past time for Ghanaians to acknowledge that our economic structures were never sustainable except when they were used to produce raw materials for our colonial masters. Given the current structures, there is no government that could have withstood the challenges posed by COVID and the Ukraine war. The performance of the NDC government would have been a catastrophe, period!
Ei, ei, ei! This man is bitter! Good he didn't win anything in NPP
