The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Kodua Frimpong says he is not happy with his party’s Bono Regional chairman, Kwame Baffoe aka 'Abronye' over some repugnant comments about the government.
He has, however, cautioned him to desist from such unscrupulous behaviour or face the wrath of the party’s national executives.
“When you are made a leader you hear a lot of things. There will be issues but you don’t have to allow emotions to cloud your judgment else you will end up saying something and regret it later.
“Abronye is a Regional chair and knows the party's structures and constitution so you don’t have to wash our dirty linen in public. The party is there so if you have an issue, make use of the structures and not go on the radio. We will not entertain such behaviour. What he is doing is wrong and we have to tell him.
“We have our reservations about one thing or the other but as long as we are in government, there is the possibility that your issue may be addressed. If we all decide to run to the media and talk about our issues, would you the media be able to contain us? He is a regional chairman so he should act accordingly. I don’t believe in us coming on the radio every day”, he said in an interview with OKAY FM’s political show.
Abronye has in recent times criticized the Nana Addo-led government with claims that some persons who worked for the party to come to power have been alienated from the government.

Interesting brand new 2017 elephant with very big ears, unfortunately it doesn't listen, at best it hears but won't listen. Abronye DC of all people complaining of neglect? Then the "nothing man and woman " NPP supporter is forgotten for good. Mr general secretary, look at the substance of what Abronye is saying, if your investigations proves what he's saying is true, immediately take steps to ensure the relationship between the appointees and the party supporters is good, if not 2024 will be tough. Fear people who are quiet, you never know what they are thinking, you will get to know what's in their mind when election results are declared. A good politician must be interested in what the people are saying then you readjust. If you silence them with threats, hmmmnnn, you will regret in silence. Ask the NDC appointees what happened to them in 2016 for failing to listen to advice. They thought money was everything. They got to know human being was more important than money, power and influence on the 9 of December, 2016 , i.e. two days after elections when it was too late. There is another 9 December,2024 coming and it will come. The style Abronye used to communicate is not the issue, the real issue has to do with whether what he's saying is the truth,,pure and simple.
You deserve a clap offering JFK. Abronye should not be allowed to open his wide mouth unnecessarily. He must respect Party structure and communication path. Even though his concerns may be very important and on point he must respect the party hierarchy. A regional chairman must behave responsibly. Some of his effusions place the name of the party into disrepute.
