Governance Lecturer, Dr. Benjamin Otchere-Ankrah together with host of Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo' morning show, Kwami Sefa Kayi have hailed the Member of Parliament for Asawase Constituency, Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka on his victory in the NDC primaries over the weekend.
Dr. Benjamin Otchere-Ankrah commended Hon. Mubarak Muntaka for his show of bravery to be re-elected to serve the constituency despite the little hope people had in him to win his seat again during the primaries.
To Dr. Otchere-Ankrah, the MP has proven to be a strong man.
"In all sincerity, I thought he will lose the seat but he has proven to be strong. Forces from several quarters - from his party - from within and without wanted him removed but he's proven that he is on the ground," he applauded Hon. Muntaka.
On the part of Kwami Sefa Kayi, affectionately called "Chairman General", he affirmed Hon. Muntaka to be a fine and good gentleman.
He noted that he and Muntaka have a very good relationship, albeit their individual jobs have caused them to drift apart from each other.
"He was really my guy some time ago. It's life and work that have caused us to go separately . . . There is no offence between us. I mean we've just drifted apart, not that he has offended me or I have offended him but about 10/15 years ago, he was my real gee," Mr. Sefa Kayi said.
