The Communications Director of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Richard Ahiagba, has reignited his call for the people of Volta region to vote against the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in order to liberate themselves from three decades of alliance with the NDC.
According to Richard Ahiagba, the assertion that the Volta region is the stronghold of the NDC cannot be overruled, however, he opines that the NDC, has over the years, taken the good people of Volta region for granted.
Comparing the Volta region to the Ashanti region, Richard the NPP's Communication boss stated that while the NPP's are constantly making impact in the party's stronghold by embarking on transformative programmes and policies, the NDC merely taken the resident of their stronghold for granted.
Posting on his official X page on Tuesday, 29th October, 2024, Richard Ahiagba expressed optimism that, should the people of Volta region vote for the flagbearer of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the region will see a drastic and unprecedented development which would leave residents in perpetual awe.
"The Volta region must vote on December 7th to free itself from the three-decade-long alliance with the NDC, which has not benefited our region.
"While the NDC has taken the Volta region for granted, the NPP has shown appreciation and respect for its stronghold, the Ashanti region."
He urged members of the region to vote decisively and massively for the NPP as they party implement visionary and life transforming programmes for the people of Volta region and Ghana at large.
