Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the Vice Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has urged Ghanaians to reject the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) because they are tribal and religiously discriminatory.
Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh said the NPP, on the other hand, has proven to be a party that embraces all Ghanaians irrespective of their tribal and religious background.
He corroborated this claim by citing the election of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the first Muslim and Mamprusi to lead a major political party in Ghana.
He also cited the NPP choosing a Muslim and a Christian as a flagbearer and his Vice Presidential Candidate as a proof of the party’s respect for all tribes and the religious society.
Revealing the NDC’s tribal character, Dr. Opoku Prempeh recalled the opposition party removing Haruna Iddrisu and Mubarak Mohammed Muntaka as Minority leader and Minority Chief Whip in Parliament respectively.
Dr. Opoku Prempeh, popularly called NAPO, believed Dr. Bawumia will be elected in December 7 election and he (NAPO) will faithfully partner him to bring development and prosperity to Ghanaians.
He said these when he paid a courtesy call on the Overlord of Dagon, Yaa Naa Mahama Abukari Gariba II, at his Gbewaa Palace.
