Okyeame Kwame says he and Obrafour are in good terms thus there is no ‘beef’ between them as people perceive. “He has called me to say sorry and I have no issues against him”, Kwame said in an interview.
According to the artiste of the year, the two week build up in the media about him and Obrafour was perhaps meant for bad but eventually it was for good. “For two weeks we were both discussed in the media. It eventually ended and I have experience increased sales by reason of this and I believe Obrafour has also experienced same”.
“Obrafour’s song has not affected me negatively at all. I’m still wearing an Armani suit and doing alright” he noted. “I did not say hiplife is dead. I was only trying to point out issues that have slowed down the growth of the industry.
Indeed the music industry in Ghana, especially hiplife is far better than it was when we started. Just that growth has been too slow and that was what I talked about in my song”, he said.
“I’m going to reply Obrafour but in a professional manner and that will be in my upcoming album which will be released immediately I finish my course in April”, the Kumasi based superstar noted.
Obrafuor's Single is Still Making Waves
Obrafuo, who is undoubtedly one of the most phenomenal music makers in Ghana released a song a couple of months ago throwing heavy punches at Okyeame Kwame, accusing him of preaching negativity about hip life.
Even though he did not categorically mention Kwame’s name in his song it was obvious the lyrics were directed towards the ‘Rap Doctor’.
