ALL ROADS in the Garden City will lead to the plush Miklin Hotel in Kumasi on Friday, December 30, 2011, when highlife King Abrantee Amakye Dede storms the place to perform.

Christened ‘Amakye Dede Africa Origin End of Year Dance,’ the entertainment show is expected to be one of the biggest and finest shows ever held in Kumasi.

Africa Origin Travels and Sports Tourism, authorized distributors of London 2012 Hospitality, are the organizers of the show.

A similar event which would also see Abrantee Amakye Dede perform at his best will come off at the Brong Ahafo capital of Sunyani on New Year’s Day.

The two great shows are being organized to create awareness and promote the 2012 London Olympics Games, where Ghana would be making an appearance.

News of the event has got the city buzzing with excitement in anticipation of the D-day.

What makes the dance historic and very special is the fact that it is the first time a dance of such high magnitude is being organized in the Garden City to promote a sporting event like the 2012 Olympics Games in London.

Abrantee Amakye Dede, who is leaving no stone unturned in his bid to make the show grand, travelled from Accra to Kumasi last Sunday to meet a special media committee formed to steer the affairs of the show.

In his remarks, Amakye Dede said he would turn Kumasi upside down with a fantastic performance which has never been seen in the country.

He urged the organizers to work harder to make the event one of a kind, promising to perform for at least six hours to entertain his numerous fans that would troop to the venue.

Amakye Dede was the toast of Kumasi fans when he stormed the place last year to perform. The highlife guru assured that “this show will be bigger and by far better than that of last year’s.”

CEO of Africa Origin Travels and Sports Tourism, Samson Deen, assured that a professional work would be done to make the event meet international standards.

According to him, the people of Kumasi and Brong Ahafo deserved the best, hence his decision to organize the two great shows.
