REGGIE and Bollie won't be too phased by performing at Wembley Arena tonight - they've already enjoyed pop success back in their native Ghana.

Before combining forces as a twosome, the singers were established artists in their country's hiplife scene.

Bollie's 2003 single You May Kiss Your Bride is still a popular choice at West African weddings twelve years after its release. Reggie - performing as Reggie Zippy - also enjoyed music success with track Adoma.

Bollie told newspaper The Voice about the dynamic between him and Reggie, and why they had teamed up after moving to England for a fresh start.

He said: "He is someone who, even right back in Ghana, I admired his talent and I really loved him so doing this together with him, it doesn’t come as hard work at all because we both respect each other as individual artists.”In September it emerged that the duo - performing under their original moniker of Menn on Point - had made it to the second stage of this year's Britain's Got Talent, but their audition had never been seen on screen.

Reggie and Bollie had even posted a picture of themselves backstage at the show on their Facebook page, and told fans they were one step closer to recapturing the fame they'd left at home in Ghana.

As rumours of foul play began circulating, X Factor were forced to issue a statement.A rep told The Mirror: "An X Factor spokesperson said: "It is inevitable that these days some of the people who audition may have auditioned for other talent shows before.

"However, Menn on Point never made it in front of the Britain's Got Talent judges and were never seen on the show. All X Factor contestants have to go through the same audition process."

With many fans still regarding them as a novelty act - and claiming they had an unfair advantage last night as they got to perform with two artists, it's unclear if they would be welcome winners.

Louisa Johnson is 5/1 favourite to take the 2015 X Factor crown.
