The much publicized �Rhythms On Da Runway� fashion show organized by all round entertainer turned fashion designer Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD) of Radio Gold, finally came off this weekend on Saturday March 31, 2012 at the Golden Tulip Hotel.
The night brought together Statesmen, Government Officials and members from opposition parties, Senior Politicians, Members of the diplomatic corps, high profile Businessmen, Bankers, a cross section of the media and several showbiz personalities.
Familiar among them were; Former first lady Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings, Dr. Tony Aidoo, Information Ministers Hon. Okudjeto Ablakwa and Hon. James Agyenim Boateng, Editor of the Insight Newspaper Mr. Kwasi Pratt Jnr. and his wife, Kojo Bonsu, legendary fashion Designer Kofi Ansah, Paul Adom Okyere, Fiifi Banson among other dignitaries.
The climax of the evening was when male celebrities including; Hiplife grandpapa, Reggie Rockstone, Fante rapper Kwaw Kesse, Asem, actor Senanu Gbedawo, Ga rapper Tinny, Kwaku T, D-Black, Jon Germain, among others took over the runway to show off their modeling skills.
They were all dressed in smart looking African fabric and designs by KOD. The crowd couldn�t stop screaming as they came one after the other to catwalk for their fans and guests present.
�Rhythms on Da Runway� which was part of activities to mark Ghana�s 55th Independent celebration, was KOD�s first major fashion show and the official launch of his new fashion line of African wear Nineteen57 Freedom Collection.
