Ghana Police Service says it has begun analyzing videos of prophecies made on the night of 31st December, 2021 to see if any of them was communicated in breach of the laws of the country.
According to the police in a statement released on Thursday, January 6, “anybody found culpable will be put before the court.”
The police ahead of 2021 Watchnight and New Year church services cautioned against the communication of prophecies that had the potential to cause fear and alarm to the public or endanger lives.
While commending the public and religious groups in particular for their support and understanding, the police say notices of multiple video footages have come to their attention regarding the communication of prophecies.
“We would like to caution that the law on publication of information including Prophecies that have the tendency to cause fear and panic or put people's lives in danger, is not limited to 31st December only, but should be adhered to on a daily basis.
“We wish to reiterate that the law and the Police are not against religious practices or the performance of religious doctrines and beliefs such as prophecies. However, if such information is communicated publicly and undermine the laws of the state, the relevant laws and sanctions will be applied”, said the statement signed by Supt. Alexander Kwaku Obeng, Director, Public Affairs.

I hope the police has spiritual eyes to do spiritual analysis of prophecies and present spiritual evidences to prove their cause in court. There are better issues in our society that needs prompt action by the police. That is where they have to channel their resources. All these prophecies bothers on believes. If I don't believe it why should I panic. Anyway what the IGP is doing is Biblical and it must happen.
Oh Ghana, IGP is doing a good job, but still more room for improvement. Close all these occultic churches and turn their buildings into warehouses to create jobs, because they have duped/killed innocent people. Why don't you invite these "repented" occult Grand Masters who are confessing on radio: (that they buried pregnant women, went to Benin for gods, went to the mortuary for fluid from dead bodies, used them as anointing) Grand those confession immunity as long as they produce evidence, and base on that go close those churches.
I am happy Ghana Police is working hard. It is good the police has become action police and not statement police. Some stubborn fake pastors decided to flout the orders of the police to test the resilience of the police. One went to the extent of prophesying bout the IGP himself threatening IGP for the danger he wish for the IGP. He pretended to know better of security matters more than IGP. Others glory in their Feke prophesy in the past. Another replace Ghana with Omofia and left everything else the same as we find in Ghana.
