The public outburst by a member of the FIFA Normalization Committee Kofi Duah Adongteng towards a journalist Ekow Asmah who questioned the former's lateness to the maiden press conference, has received some disapproval from a cross section of the media, with most of them expressing displeasure at the choice of words and conduct of the committee's member.
Owusu Frimpong popularly referred to as Owureku, a morning show host on GN Radio U.K, has called for the immediate dismissal of the committee member following the action he exhibited at the forum. He has stated his intention to starting a campaign for the removal of the said member.
Owureku described the actions of Kofi Duah Adongteng as unfortunate and uncalled for, clearly exhibiting an attitude of intolerance and egotism. He questioned why such a person is still a member of the committee.
"I wonder why he’s still a member of the committee. He should have been sacked already; I have to start a campaign for that. He could have explained his reason for being late rather than that outburst. In dealing and working with people, you should know how to go about things".
Adding that, "He has disappointed the president, he missed the chance to put Ekow Asmah to shame; it was a slippery road for him to have taken. Apologies are not enough, this being the second time of him being late to a committee meeting."
