The deputy Director General of the National Sports Authority in charge of technical, Saka Acquaye has passed on after a long battle with a peculiar ailment.
A former national swimming champion and handball player, Mr Acquaye played a leading role in Ghana sports for over two decades spanning the period of 2000 to 2020.
He was a founder of many sporting clubs in the country and a former director of sports at Greater Accra.
He is reported to have passed away at the 37 military hospital aged 59.
