Ghana will not play the Ivory Coast in an international friendly in France next week, says Ghana FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi.
The Black Stars were widely reported to have set up a friendly against their West African neighbours in preparation towards the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.
It was also thought that the Black Stars will also playSenegalin another friendly inFranceon 11 November and then take on the Ivorians four days later.
But the Elephants have lined up a friendly againstSouth Africain the Nelson Mandela Challenge Cup inPort Elizabethon 12 November.
Ghana FA boss Nyantakyi says there are no plans to play the Ivorians insisting they are still in talks over the possible friendlies for next week’s Fifa international dates.
“We are not playingIvory Coast. We are still in talks and when an agreement with any side is reached we will make it public,” Nyantakyi told MTNFootball.com.
Ghana are preparing for the Africa Cup of Nations where they will face Guinea, Mali and Botswana.
