Ghana defender John Boye has returned to training for his French Ligue 1 side Rennes after spending six weeks on the sidelines.
The 24-year-old centre-back suffered a muscle tear in during Rennes 1-1 draw with Saint Etienne in September.
Boye has returned to full fitness and trained with the first team on Tuesday.
Rennes coach Frederic Antonetti could include the towering centre-back in his squad to face Evian Thonon Gaillard.
Boye told GHANAsoccernet.com he is happy to be back to action.
I have returned to training and Im doing well. Hopefully, I will start playing this weekend.
His return could be a boost for Black Stars coach Goran Stevanovic who is due to name a 23-man squad for Januarys Africa Cup of Nations.
