Former Ghanaian international,Laryea Kingston says he is delighted to be back home for his mother club Accra Hearts of Oak as he made his debut for the former continental club masters against Kpando Hearts of Lions on Sunday.
Kingston who plays as an attacking midfielder or right winger said he was motivated to come back because he saw the local league was dying hence the need to come and resurrect it and relaunch his career.
He has advised his colleagues who have had unsuccessful stints abroad to come home to relaunch their careers as most football stars in Europe do.
"I still have a lot of football left in me and it will be up to the GFA and the Black Stars technical team to call me as am ever ready", he said when asked about his future with Black Stars.
Speaking to Peace Fm's Eric Collins Odoom (Sir Kaka)at Kpando after helping Hearts of Oak beat Hearts of Lions by a goal to nil,he said the next Africa Nations Cup in South Africa 2013 and the Brazil 2014 World Cup tournaments was his ultimate target.
Kingston started his career with local side Great Olympics, before moving to Libyan side Al-Ittihad Tripoli in 2000, on a loan deal.
However, after only 4 months of this arrangement he returned to Accra, unhappy at his treatment in Tripoli, joining one of Ghana's traditional "Big Two", Hearts of Oak, in 2001.
Two years later he moved to Israel, initially with Maccabi Ahi Nazareth.
He was signed by Hapoel Tel Aviv, where he played until 2004.
Russia was Kingston's next destination, where he joined Krylia Sovetov Samara,in the Russian Premier League.
Kingston joined Terek half way through the 2005 season and later joined Lokomotiv Moscow on loan for the 2006 season.
Kingston joined Hearts of Scotland on 25 January 2007 on an initial six-month loan deal.
After his release from Hearts, Kingston moved to the Netherlands to sign for Vitesse, but was released in December 2010 after just six months with the club.
Kingston, who had trained with his former club Hearts of Oak after his release from Vitesse, signed a two-year deal with Israeli Premier League side Hapoel Be'er Sheva on 13 July 2011.
In the late January 2012, Kingston returned to Ghana for his former club Hearts of Oak, signing one and a half year contract.
