Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has confirmed that defender John Mensah he will leave the club this off-season.
The Ghana captain is on the verge of mutually terminating his contract with the French giants after playing only once in the season.
The strong centre-back has been battling with injuries and confirmed both parties had reached an agreement over his departure.
The Lyon chief says the future of the 29-year-old lies elsewhere.
�There will be a number of departures that were already scheduled,� Aulas said
But we do not plan to leave our best players .But I spoke to Lisandro and Lloris and they will be with us next season.
�But we see Mensah�s future elsewhere.�
The injury-prone defender joined Lyon for a fee of 8 million Euros.
